Car hire system has its own history

Dienstag, September 30th, 2008

Since the first automobile changed the history of human beings, cars have been one of the best ways to move from place to place.

The car hire industry started closely after Fords’ introduction of Model T during the first decade of XX century. It is supposed that only eight years after that event a young man founded a sort of rent-a-car business, using those incredible Model T cars.

Nowadays, a car hire agency is a firm that rents different types of vehicles for a wide range of uses during short periods of time. Generally, these companies are located in busy places. They provide a variety of services, from hiring cars for domestic uses (especially for people whose cars are temporary out of service) or for tourist activities.

Once Internet has appeared in the world of car hire agencies, car hire agencies have designed their own websites to offer their services and quotes. Clients are also able to hire cars online.

Car hire / bakkie rental business has its own rules. Most companies set different reservation periods. If clients return cars at a different time or date from the original deal, they may be charged extra fees. In several companies, there are some geographic restrictions related to the miles that clients are allowed to drive. Regarding age, drivers should be between 21 and 65 years old. If not, some car hire companies apply restrictions and extra rules. Many car hire agencies require the use of a credit card for payments, in order to trace clients’ financial details.

Car hire system is a very useful possibility for any kind of person. They are always available to fulfill your expectations and many big companies use this method to take care of their employees when travelling. Car rental kzn system started many years ago. Nowadays, its future is in renters’ hands!

safari guide

Most of the population in the world will never get to enjoy the experience of African safari travel, yet for those lucky people who do get such an experience, it is more than likely a one-time, albeit extremely memorable, experience. In many instances, people conjure up images of roughing it in the bush or the jungle, but nowadays luxury safari options are more plentiful and even more affordable.

A luxurious African safari can really only be described as the ultimate vacation. When taking the luxury version of African safari travel you really have the opportunity to get the best of both worlds. You will be able to get out into the wilds of Africa to observe the animals that you will only be able to see live through wildlife safaris, but rather than roughing it, you will be pampered and catered to throughout your journey.

The African safari tour companies that offer these upscale excursions are specialists in custom tailoring luxury safari experiences to meet the needs and expectations of even the most demanding of customers. They put their extensive local expertise and knowledge to work on behalf of their guests to assure they not only have a memorable adventure but that they are comfortable and well taken care of.

Riding on horseback provides better access to areas that are too difficult to access by foot. At the same time, the wildlife are not as likely to be frightened off by the sounds of a vehicles rambling along the dusty, dirt roads. And, being on horseback provides a better vantage point for seeing the breathtaking scenery than what can be seen either sitting in a vehicle or on foot.

This elevated vantage point also comes in handy for taking better pictures. With well-trained safari guides at your side at all times, you will not have to worry if you are not a skilled horseman, nor about wandering unwittingly into areas that could be dangerous. The guides are constantly on the lookout for any precarious situations that might develop and they will immediately lead their guests to safety if the need arises.

After a long and event-filled day of exploring the area on horseback, the lead safari guide will show the luxury safari group to the new location of the camp, which was moved and set up by the staff while the guests were engaged in their adventures. Typically, the day will end by being served fine wine and a gourmet meal, with the gorgeous canopy of sparkling stars filling the deep African night.

Where To Stay in St Andrews, Scotland

Dienstag, September 30th, 2008

The home of golf, St Andrews, can be found in Scotland on the coast of Fife. The Royal and Ancient Golf Club has been in the town since 1754 and rules the game of golf worldwide, with the exceptions of Mexico and America. Every year the oldest of the four major golf championships takes place here, namely the Open Championship.

Although it’s not something you immediately associate with Scotland, the town also features a number of sandy beaches. When it comes to where to stay when visiting St Andrews regardless of whether your stay is for business, golf or relaxation you’ve got a wide choice available.  Below we take a look at just some of the accommodation that is currently available.

1.     Ardgowan Hotel – This one is situated just 180 yards from St Andrews Old Course and the University, which are in the heart of the town. The building comprises two Georgian houses which have been joined together and were designed by the famous Scottish architect Sir William Playfair. You can select any of the 19 rooms and the hotel is set in its own gardens. All the food that is served both in the bar and restaurant is local produced and of the highest quality.

2.     Links Hotel – This is located at 1 Golf Place and is not far from the famous 18th Hole on St Andrews Old Course. Dating back to 1824 this hotel has housed many of the world’s top golf players and was host to the very first golf tournaments that took place here.  As well as being very close to the Old Course, you’re also very near the town’s university, cathedral and castle as well.

3.    Old Course Hotel – This is the one that when you watch the Open Championship is the one that shows as you come to the 17th Hole. It actually looks over the “Road Hole” and has wonderful views of the West Sands and Fife coastline. Although this is for the hotel for the keen golfer there are lots of other things for the non-golfers in your party.

4.    Russell Hotel – The Russell is a terraced house next to the Scores, looks out over St Andrews Bay and been themed in the Victorian style. When you choose this hotel, you’ll be very near the Old Course, you’ll be teeing off on the course within a couple minutes walk of the hotel but it is just as convenient for you to walk into the center of the town as well.

5.    St Andrews Golf Hotel – This is again not far from the first tee of the Old Course and some of the rooms offer the guests views that look over St Andrews Links and Bay. In recent years, it’s been turned into a boutique hotel that one can relax in whilst you enjoy the top class facilities that St Andrews and the nearby area can offer you. If you’re thinking of organizing a golfing holiday, this hotel should be on your short list.

Dienstag, September 30th, 2008

Whether you are planning a quiet business trip or a romantic getaway, you’ll need to find somewhere to stay in London. A bed and breakfast in London is one option to look at; but, you will need to determine whether it’s the best option for you.

Over the past few years bed and breakfasts have become a popular alternative for people who were looking for a warm and cozy place to stay during their visit.

These places are normally cheaper than a London hotel. Travelers can enjoy home-cooked meals and experience local knowledge and hospitality.

Using a bed and breakfast offers quite a few advantages. Local people will share their knowledge about little known things to do, you can take advantage of having your own personal tour guide. You B&B host will know the local area intimately. They’ll also be able to assist with getting around the city.

If you’re planning a shopping expedition in London, there’s a good chance your hosts will be able to point you in the direction of some bargains.

If you like last minute trips, many London B&B’s will welcome you, even without a booking, making it the perfect travel option for those spontaneous travelers who want to leave without a moment’s notice.

When you’re thinking about your choices it is also important to take into consideration the advantages offered by hotels as well. A hotel will typically offer larger rooms and higher quality of fixtures and fittings. You will also usually be able to take advantage of more freedom and privacy in a hotel room as opposed to a B&B. Amenities you may be able to take advantage of in a hotel which are not often present at a bed and breakfast include health spas, restaurants and stores.
