Types of Timeshare – Which One Is Best For You?

If you are thinking about buying a timeshare, there are a lot of different things you should look into before making any decision. It could be that you want to buy a peppertree timeshare or even a used Disney timeshare. You want to make sure you know all of the different options for the types of timeshares so that if you decide to Buy Timeshares you make the best decision for you.

How often you want to visit your timeshare and for how long each time is one of the key options you need to be clear about before you invest in a timeshare. Most timeshares allow you to use the property for one week out of each year, but there are also options that allow you to use it every other year or even less often. Depending on your contract you might be able to pay a little extra on a adhoc basis and stay for longer or use your timeshare more frequently, it all depends on the demand to use it.

You also want to make sure that you get the type of time allocation that you would like, either fixed week, floating week, or flex week. That way you either get guaranteed a certain week either year, or you get to choose a week either any time during the year or any time during a particular season of the year.

You might pay more money to buy a fixed timeshare during the peak seasons. These slots are often peak summer months i.e. June, July and August and also Christmas time.

If you buy a floating week then you enter into either an automated rotation or a nomination system. This rotation system works on the basis that each year you are allocated a week, this week automatically changes each year until you cycle through all the slots. The nomination system means that you take it in turns be first to choose your date or dates. This works by allowing each owner the choice of week they would like for the following year. Each owner takes it in turn to choose their week. Then the following year you might be 10th to choose and so on. Different people enjoy different types.
