Motorhome holidays and families are just a great way to go on vacation and spend lots of quality time together. Does it not sound like so much fun to pack up all your own stuff into your own little home on wheels and tow it behind your vehicle. It is sort of like tagging along a mini hotel with you all the things you need right there behind you.
The benefits to a driving holiday over flying seem endless. If you take a recreational vehicle you can usually save a lot more money especially if you have a few kids, flights are expensive. The scenery is always so nice to look at and your kids will learn so much more when they have the time to look around. Stopping is a benefit as you can do it when ever and how ever much you want. Plus kids really like to have their stuff it seems to take some of the stress out of traveling.
Not having to eat in restaurant three or four times a day can really help keep the expenses in check. Plus you don not have to waste valuable time trying to locate a restaurant that could all by itself cause so much arguing and fighting that the holiday could very well end right there. Nothing can destroy a fun holiday fast than bad tension.
Traveling games are the best when it comes to being stuck in a car for hours at end. There is definitely something for every age group from eye spy and license plate tag for the younger kids to punch buggy hit for the teens. Then there is the parent favorite for all ages of the children called the quiet game.
When traveling on a vehicular holiday it can tend to be a bit longer to allow for the driving time. Some people who only get set amount of days a year they can vacation may see this as a serious downfall. But another way to look at it would be really good bonding time that you just would not get from flying.
Flying in an airplane can be nerve racking for lots of people but the stress can go up quickly when children are involved. Airport security is time consuming and irritating and if you add kids who are bored it could even get eventful.
A motorhome holiday is the most fun way for a family to travel and the kids will probably see and do more. The bonding experience is priceless and that is worth is all by itself even if there was not even one more benefit.
