First thing you have to do without fail is keep the proper levels of fluid.Just like most things in your vehicle you want to have your fluids at the right level.But when you are talking about your transmission it is important to making it last longer. Second thing to be aware of is that heat can harm your transmission.So you will want to do some things that will help your transmission to run cooler. One of the best ways to do that is to add transmission cooler.You can find some easily at an auto parts dealer. Of course when clients come and bring their cars in to our Vista auto repair shop we add it in also. This helps let the transmission run cooler.
Finally this way is going to be easy.Do not ever attempt to shift gears while the car is in motion.You will be shocked at how many people do ruin their vehicles because they shifted the gear while the car was in motion. I am not because we see it all the time in our La Costa auto repair shop.People have their cars come in with transmissions ruined because they tried to shift while it was moving.
